Its exclusive Type-S Topre silent switches dramatically reduce keystroke noise, while its ergonomic design lets you type for hours on end without feeling fatigued. You can easily create your own keymaps for a completely personalized user experience, and connect up to 4 Bluetooth devices and swap between them instantly.

Celebrating 30 years of HHKB with a special, limited-edition keyboard. This HYBRID Type-S model features our coveted Type-S Topre silent electrostatic capacitive switches, but in 30g weight instead of the traditional 45g. It also features a special 30th Anniversary control key keycap, as well as all the HHKB HYBRID Type-S bells and whistles that make this keyboard iconic.

The HHKB was designed for programmers by programmers to provide a unique keying experience and to reduce hand and finger fatigue. Unique characteristics include:

  • Electrostatic Capacitive Switches – High-quality switches provide silky smooth key press and appealing sound, with a lifespan of up to 50 million presses
  • Compact Size – 60 keys. 40% smaller than standard keyboards. Perfect for a mobile workforce and minimalist style
  • Intelligent Key Layout – Designed by programmers for programmers to improve speed, accuracy and to reduce hand and finger fatigue - hands never need to leave the home row.
  • High-Quality Frame and Keys – Keys are made of top quality PBT texturized to stay dry and resist shine. Permanent sublimation dye symbols won’t fade.
    • Charcoal model: frame (ABS), key (PBT)
    • White model: frame (AES), key (PBT)
  • Customizable – DIP Switch for customized user experience, adjustable feet in three different heights, options of printed or blank keycaps

The HHKB Keyboard comes with a 2-year certified U.S. manufacturer’s warranty. We encourage you to register your product to stay informed about important updates.

Multi-pairing settings with a Bluetooth connection can be available with a simple key operation in the HYBRID and HYBRID Type-S models. Up to four devices can be assigned and registered. Users can easily switch devices with a single operation.

Type-S is based on the standard capacitance non-contact switch structure of the HHKB Professional series, but with an upgraded internal key switch to enhance typing stability and lightness, and to improve high-speed typing performance. Specifically, the use of new buffer parts reduced keystroke noise by 30% compared to the previous model (Note 2), resulting in improved quietness.
The main difference between the HYBRID models and the Classic models are that HYBRID models can connect both through wired (USB-C) connection and Bluetooth connection, while the Classic models can only connect through wired connection.
